The Cheech Marin Center for Chicano Arts and Culture of the Riverside Art Museum will host TWO MexiCali Biennial exhibitions, 'Land of Milk & Honey' and 'MexiCali Biennial: Art, Action, Exchanges.'

The MexiCali Biennial presents 'UN/belonging in the Land of Milk & Honey' guest curated by Emmanuel Ortega. This two-person exhibition explores belonging and place through Landscape representation by biennial co-founders and artists Ed Gomez and Luis G. Hernandez.

This event will host artists, curators, and scholars to discuss the MexiCali Biennial and its importance to the history of Latin American, Latinx, and U.S-Mexico borderlands art.. The event will feature three panels of speakers, organized by major themes.

Join us at the Cheech Center for a day of video programming where guest curators Annette Rodriguez and Emmanuel Ramos Barajas of Borderless Cultures explore cinematic tropes of identity relating to Steinbeck and themes addressed in 'Land of Milk & Honey.'
